o SMS messaging platforms - feature upgrades
****************************************************************

Introducing Concatenated (long) messaging - send more characters per SMS text.

In response to customer demand for larger amounts of email content to be forwarded to mobile, aql have introduced this
as an option for email to sms open and pre-defined sending.

Although concatenated (long) messaging has always been available to all SMPP connected clients, Concatenated
messaging is now available on aql accounts as part of the email to sms service. Enabling concatenated messaging will
enable you to send "long" sms messages of greater than 160 characters, allowing you to receive a greater amount of information
per message.

Setting it up :

In either case, sending "long" messages will use up more than one credit per message (roughly one credit
per 160 characters). You can choose the maximum number of message credits you want to use per message (1 credit = up to 160,
2 credits = up to approx 320, 3 credits = up to approx 480 characters).

To set this - log on via aql -- then goto -- "account" and then "account setup" and set the "concatenated messages"
field to a value greater than 1 (by default we set this at 1).

When you send an email-to-sms message, you will then find that you receive a larger proportion of the original email data.

o Telecoms : Choose your own number - Pick from 2.5 million!
****************************************************************

Following the success of our VoIP small business package, (voip level 2) we've received many requests
to be able to choose a geographic phone number online in "real time".

Unlike many telecoms operators, with aql, you can now choose your own UK Geographic number from a choice of millions. A memorable
number helps people find your business more easily. You can also use different numbers for different services - for example - If you have
several numbers, you can use a different number per advert to assess which adverts are most effective.
All aql numbers have a low "rental" fee of £2 + vat per number per month.

Once you have the number you can choose to

1) forward it to your existing number *
2) send it to your VoIP phone over the internet
3) forward it to a group of phones - eg - one number rings 5 mobiles - ideal for out of hours support numbers.*

Because aql have so many numbers, we have decided to offer all numbers at a flat price, including memorable numbers. To
choose your own VoIP number in real-time, simply log on via

choose from the 100's of area codes and millions of geographic numbers. Once you have your number, it's yours for life, even
if you change cities - you can take your aql Aberdeen number to Abu Dhabi.

o HTTP POST API Upgrade...
****************************************************************

Many of our clients use our geographically and physically redundant HTTP(S) interfaces for sending SMS text messages. The
interface allows users to specify originator, message and recipient. We have now added a new parameter - "time to send".

Using the time-to-send parameter allows programmers to submit a message to our gateways which will be held in our queues until
the specified time and then sent. Our servers are synchronised with the Greenwich observatory (+/- 0.1s typically).

o Reminders via SMS
****************************************************************

Many SMS messaging customers may not know that aql has a very successful domain registration and hosting subsidiary. The
http://a-q.co.uk site manages tens of thousands of registered domains and holds a position in the top ten percent by volume of
Nominet UK registrars. We're now using our aql SMS technology to send reminders to customers of domain names which need
renewing.

We will be sending reminders to all customers who have opted to be contacted by us. To ensure you receive SMS reminders,
simply ensure we have your mobile number on your account (log in and goto "update my details"). If you want to opt out, simply
log on to the http://a-q.co.uk site and click "stop receiving newsletter and SMS reminders".

o Vacancies at aql - Recruiting Graduate Applications Developers
****************************************************************

aql currently has a vacancy for a computing graduate in the role of Applications Developer. You'd be working as part of a small,
"highly clued" team of specialist developers and systems architects from our Leeds city centre offices near the famous Tetleys
brewery.

You'll be energetic, flexible in your approach to work, with a love of technology and the acumen to learn new protocols and programming
languages. You'll also have a great sense of humour.

A minimum requirement would be to be fully conversant with at least 3 of the following : MySQL, PostgreSQL, PHP, Perl, Java, C++, Bash
Salary commensurate with experience.
