category: Sending SMS
What does the 'status' of outgoing messages mean ?
When you view the outgoing message log (message history) in your sms2email account each message will have a status displayed.
This will be sent, rejected or delivered. If the message has status sent then this means it has been dispatched into the GSM network. It may or may not have been received by the destination handset.
If the status is delivered then this means the message has been received by the destination handset and a delivery report has been returned. You can view the time that the delivery report was received by sms2email by clicking on 'view detail'.
If a message has the status rejected then this usually indicates that its destination handset has not been able to accept the message. In some cases the message may be redelivered and ultimately accepted but there is no way of finding out if this is the case (other than to contact the handset owner directly and ask them!).
