Or...how to use aql's MMS forwarding service to publish images to photo-sharing websites and blogs straight from your phone The MMS to email service is free with aql (the only cost is the cost for you to send the mms from your mobile), but you will need accounts with aql and Flickr. (Note: this means you do need to buy some SMS credits which you can use to text your friends and family. £6.00 buys you 50 SMS credits) Find out your upload to Flickr email address. Remember this, you'll need it in a moment. Log in at aql.com, and select TextBack > MSISDN > Manage Keywords.
Click on add
Enter your keyword details
Your keyword is up to you, but remember that it has got to be unique - if someone else has already registered it you'll have to think again. Action can be left as e-mail. You should set your e-mail address to your upload to Flickr e-mail address. You can leave the rest and click 'Add Keyword'. You're all set. Take a photo with your phone and send it in a MMS to 07740 404142, using your keyword as the first word in the message. Leave the subject blank. Your image will appear in your Flickr account. Once you're happy publishing to Flickr straight from your phone, why not try using MMS to publish images straight to your blog with Flickr's emailtoblog service, which currently supports these kinds of blogs : Blogger Blogger (beta) Typepad Movable Type LiveJournal WordPress Blog Manila Atom enabled BloggerAPI enabled MetaWeblogAPI enabled Vox Happy snapping ! |
