The email to speech service works in two ways, 'pre defined' and 'open sending'. Using the service in pre defined mode allows you to setup email addresses which you can give to friends and colleagues. Emails sent to this address will be relayed to a pre defined mobile or landline number, allowing you to receive emails sent to this address as synthesized speech messages.
From your aql account you would setup an 'alias' (subject to availability) at the aql.com domain, for example the alias 'fred' would give you the email address 'fred@voice.aql.com'. Alongside this alias you will assign the mobile or land phone number you would like the message to be sent to. When an email is sent to this address, the first 300 characters of the message will be relayed as a synthesized voice message Your account will be charged 1 credit per message. Not all destinations can be reached and delays may occur with certain email content due to synthesization delay. Please test this solution to make sure it's fit for your purpose.
You can set up multiple aliases at the voice.aql.com domain. For example you would be able to setup an address and phone number for each member of staff in your company making it simple to contact them while out of the office.
