category: Connecting with Asterisk

How do I set Asterisk Trixbox?

1) Set up an inbound route to pick up on DID number 7xxxxx and route it
to SIP extension 200.

2) Set up the IAX trunk, pointing the inbound context to
'ext-did' so that the rule created by the previous step gets
hit.

3) Set the IAX trunk to strip a leading 9 from the front of the number
passed to it (put 9|X in the dialling rules box). Set it to present
caller ID 7xxxxx.

4) Added an outbound route matching numbers beginning with 9 to pass the
dialed number to the trunk (where the 9 gets stripped). The rule should
be _9X.

Provided you've got a SIP extension registered on 200, you should
be able to receive calls, and place calls by prefixing numbers with a 9.

Please bear in mind that you should ensure that all the details are put in exactly as provided. We will not be able to diagnose problems caused by the incorrect detail input.
