How do I set up Linksys Sipura phone?

Your phone should arrive pre-configured, but if for some reason you wish to change this configuration, please follow the steps below.

  1. Find out the phone's IP address

    • Go to menu (the symbol that looks like a piece of paper with folded angle)
    • Choose Network (option 9) >> press select
    • In Network menu, make a note of option 2 - Current IP, which will be something like 192.168.1.123

  2. Open your browser and type: http://192.168.1.123 (i.e. http:// followed by your phone's IP from step 1). Follow the Admin Login >> advanced

  3. Under Info tab you can check the extension status under "Ext 1 Status". If the status is "Registered" this means that your phone has managed to register to our servers.

  4. Ext 1 adn Ext 2 tabs is where settings for those respective extensions can be found.

Navigate to Ext 1 or Ext2 tab. All the settings should be left default, except "Proxy and Registration" and Subscriber Information.

    • Proxy:
      sip.aql.com

    • Outbound Proxy:
This, depending on your NAT can be either

none - this should work in most networks and therefore should be tried first.

If no luck, try the following in turn:
      sipproxy2.aql.com
      nat1.aql.com:5082
      sip.aql.com

Please try both inbound and outbound call on each of the proxy to find out which proxy works best with your network setting and ISP. Some proxies might work on your network for outbound but not inbound and vice versa.

    • Use Outbound Proxy:
yes (no - for some NAT configurations)

    • Use OB Proxy In Dialog:
      yes

    • Register:
      yes

    • Display Name:
      Anything

    • User ID:
This is yor aql SIP number, 60xxxx

    • Password:
Your password from aql SIP account

    • Use Auth ID:
      no

  5. Remember to click "Submit all changes" at the bottom of the screen. This will cause the phone to reboot and commit changes. You will be able to get back to the configuration pages by refreshing the address http://192.168.1.123 (your phone's IP)
