Marketing Executive

Your role

The Marketing Executive will be part of the team driving forward aql, BlueWave and other related company brands, creating and implementing PR and marketing strategies to raise the profile of the brands and maximise customer engagement across the business.


  • Planning, managing and delivering PR and marketing activity across a variety of channels
  • Working with the Digital Marketing Apprentice to create and optimise digital and social media marketing campaigns
  • Writing and editing strong, engaging content; producing creative content, such as videos
  • Working with the Digital Designer to create effective, impactful designs and branding
  • Ensuring all marketing collateral, email marketing, website content and digital marketing is in line with overall company brand guidelines and message
  • Working with Account Managers to identify and create effective customer case studies
  • Managing and executing the marketing plan / calendar
  • Liaising with external partners regarding coverage, projects and events
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to organise and optimise on-site events
  • Monitoring and reporting on campaign activity and making recommendations for improvement
  • Tracking competitor PR & marketing activity

Required skills

  • Demonstrable strong creative marketing flare and a passion for generating new ideas
  • Ability to manage and administer a variety of PR and marketing campaigns
  • Experience of managing online and social media networks
  • Strong research and PR skills
  • First-class B2B copywriting and content producing skills
  • A creative eye / flair for content and design
  • Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and time-management skills with good attention to detail
  • A good problem-solver and self-starter
  • Flexible, proactive and open to change
  • Highly ambitious, proactive and self-motivated
  • Excellent research and analytical skills


  • PR & marketing qualification and commercial experience
  • Producing and editing content across a range of digital and non-digital channels
  • Planning and managing social media and PR campaigns
  • Event management
