With these latest winners, the Awards have now celebrated a total of 80 inspirational individuals and teams through the years.

Our ongoing commitment to championing transformative ideas has brought us to an exciting new chapter in the Beaumont Awards’ journey.

This year’s ceremony was a celebration of academic and professional triumphs, and it also marked the final chapter of our collaboration with the University of Leeds. Over the years, this partnership has not only helped to identify and reward talent, but has also fostered knowledge sharing, and the spirit of discovery across diverse disciplines. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the whole community at the University of Leeds for their support throughout this era.

The selection process for the 2025 awards was expertly guided by our distinguished judges, who we thank:

  • Dr John Mama, Chief Scientist, who ensures rigorous research standards across our R&D projects while championing our environmental initiatives, including efforts to reduce fuel poverty by donating waste data centre heat to the local community
  • Andrew Morris, VP Product and Development, who plays a key role in shaping aql’s technical vision and portfolio of future-facing products

Andrew said, “We had a very impressive set of participants to consider this year. To the 2025 winners, congratulations on your success, which is a testament to your hard work and creativity. To all 80 award recipients past and present, your continuing dedication to innovation is raising the bar for what is possible.”

More about the 2026 Awards:

A new format and focus will be introduced in 2026, building upon the strong foundation established over the past years, while aiming to reach a broader and more inclusive academic audience. We’ll introduce refreshed criteria, and broaden out the opportunities to additional academic institutions, ensuring that the awards remain a beacon for talent and achievement in an ever-changing world.
