The costs of operating an IP telephony solution can be divided into four areas (1) Calls, (2) Number rental, (3) Circuits, (4) Hardware
Because there is no per-minute charge for conveying the calls over the IP network, this allows aql® to offer a lower cost per minute for all calls. Because aql® are directly connected to all the significant UK carriers, we can offer a low cost-per-minute for all destinations. For example, most of Europe, the US and China can be reached for less than 1p per minute. Because our rates are so competitive, they change on a monthly basis to give you the best deals. Ask us for a trial account and access to a tariff based on your projected usage.
aql® own and operate 12 million UK telephone numbers. That's around 20,000 in every single UK area code.
There is no charge to the SME for "virtual voice circuits", unlike many other operators. aql® simply charge a flat rate of £2 +vat per DDI number allocated per month. Billing is on a monthly basis and there is simply a one month rolling contract. This allows businesses to scale up or down in times of growth or uncertainty, with no penalties.
International Numbers : - aql® can also offer international numbers in most major towns and cities globally. Contact us to discuss your requirements. Costs are dependant on the country and the numbering required, but typically between £10 and £40 per number per month. (Certainly far better value than opening an office in Berlin).
aql® work in partnership with access providers to ensure that businesses have reliable, voice quality access circuits. Options include ethernet over copper, LLU, layer 2 metropolitan and national ethernet services. Not only can we deliver voice, but we can partition circuits to provide internet access, private inter-site data circuits and remote-backup lines. Our expertise is available free-of-charge - please talk to us. We're happy to recommend a solution which stands out both on technical merit and also pricing. As a guide, a typical metropolitan 100mb/s connection into the aql network usually costs about £4k/year, or, where available a 40mb/s ethernet-over-copper connection can be achieved for less than £1k/year.
aql® have distribution agreements and significant economies-of-scale buying power for IP voice, mobile and data products, providing branded and OEM solutions. We operate an API driven system for distribution - our partners do not need to hold stock and all lines can be shipped via an automated end-to-end webservices solution which can be embedded in our partners' existing order processes.
