aql plays host to BCS event
Wednesday 5 June 2013 saw aql’s conference auditorium host its second event held by the West Yorkshire branch of BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT.
The event, entitled Choosing the Right Delivery Channel, brought together BCS members to hear a talk on the importance of choosing the right partners and services, specifically in relation to offshoring and outsourcing solutions.
The event featured a talk from Stuart Allan of Steria UK: a major supplier of IT enabled business services to the utilities, transport and postal industries, who spoke of his 30 years of experience in working in the digital sector and the importance of choosing and delivering the right approach within the ‘channel challenge’.
Chris Cahill , Chair of BCS west Yorkshire, believes that aql’s conference auditorium is the perfect place in which to host the event: “aql is a major player on Yorkshire’s digital landscape and their conference auditorium, with it’s view of their datacentre below, is the perfect backdrop for these events. I’m thrilled to be able to hold BCS events here and hope we can arrange many more such evenings in the future.”
