aql attends “TechTrade Yorkshire”
On 8th September, Dr Adam Beaumont, CEO and founder of aql, spoke alongside Dylan Roberts, Chief Digital Officer of the Leeds City Council. Both presenters looked at the increasing need for a paradigm shift in the way that the public sector operates.
By looking at the health industry as an example, both presenters looked at ways that could enable people to look after themselves better and become more self-sufficient by having an open approach to data.
Dylan Roberts, Chief Digital Officer of the Leeds City Council, explored how this open approach can be used as a way to bring together information from a range of sources while also providing interoperability between solutions and data that is open for further innovation around city and public challenges.
Dr Adam Beaumont, CEO and founder of aql, also spoke about the importance of integrity of data, and how Blockchain, for instance, can be used in the future as a way to prove this integrity.
This seminar was part of TechTrade Yorkshire, a networking event that tackles the challenges faced by the Yorkshire tech sector, with over 300 delegates from the digital sector.
