The 2013 festival is the seventh since its revival and the fourth sponsored by aql. This year’s festival and promises to be another extremely successful event, with activities and attractions for all the family such as a classic car show, fun runs, traditional dancing, falconry and more.
Hatfield Heath Festival is a major event in the local calendar and extremely important for the local community. “The aim of the Festival is to bring together the people of Hatfield Heath and improve community spirit,” said Bruno Scheggia, Chairman of the festival’s organising committee.
“All the clubs and groups in the village have been invited to join in by running stalls, games and activities. The result is that the wider community around the village comes together for a fun day.“
One of the festival’s main attractions is the live music programme that offers local acts the opportunity to play to a large audience on the festival’s main stage.
“On top of all the arena events, fun runs, stalls and nearly 200 classic cars, we now have a musical festival adjoining. When we started we had one local group playing and this year we have eleven acts booked,” said Bruno.
“For all of the acts to be able to play we needed specialist equipment laid on so that the groups could play without having to set up their own equipment. aql’s sponsorship has enabled us to afford this.”
